About Us

Ignite network is a Kutama/Sinthumule based organization serving the needs of unemployed youth, underprivileged families and the community at large in the Kutama/Sinthumule area. The organization is registered as a non-profit organization with the Department of Social Development (REF No: 238-791 NPO).

Who we are

We are all about community development, instilling values from generation to generation and sharing ideas that works. Empowering individuals and consequently the community. It’s all about networking with a purpose of bringing solutions to current problems arising in the community. We aim to encourage and support all the learners that are currently studying to take their studies seriously by making education fashionable again

Our Belief

We believe that everyone comes with a set of skills, knowledge, capabilities and untapped potentials. It begins with someone helping someone and the cycle continues, until it becomes a network of helping hands.

Aiming to make quality education accessible and fashionable to everyone in our community. Ignite Network has introduced the following to encourage learners in their various disciplines of study:

The failure of our education system has an intense effect on the economy. It not only fails pupils but also weakens the Labour force, it hampers the market`s absorption of those with fewer skills and limit their contribution to economic growth. We as Ignite Network have introduced the following to encourage learners in their various disciplines of study:

  • Best Educators awards
  • Extra lesson sessions
  • Adopt a learner program
  • Career guidance and awareness

Community and Empowerment

The organization has an initiative to empower the community with extra attention to previously disadvantaged individuals and we as Ignite network have noted the factors that are affecting our youth in communities:

  • Lack of employment
  • Failure to succeed in education
  • Family problems
  • Substance abuse
  • Crime
  • Teenage pregnancy

To address some of the factors mentioned above, we are doing the following in the communities:

  • Donation of Sanitary pads
  • Identify and sponsor full school uniform to selected learners
  • Send unemployed youth who matriculated to driving school
  • Creating a project for the unemployed youth in the community
